Second Life in Piran - Hotel Zala Piran with private parking and shuttle service

The location was amazing as we were close to everything! The room set up and bed were very comfortable. The hotel was clean and spotless and nicely decorated. The unique art pieces on the walls were appreciated. Enjoyed the varied breakfast items and the additional touches eg smoothie as a starter. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night we arrived and it was really tasty and came with a small starter and bread which were gratis! Having a place to leave our car and then be shuttled a short distance to the hotel was a game breaker for us. We informed the hotel of our ETA and the shuttle was waiting for us. Appreciated receiving the instructions and a video of how this all worked ahead of time! No issue with getting the shuttle back at our desired time when we checked out. Thank you to the young gentleman who took us to the parking lot. He shared his cell plan with us when we discovered our eSIM wasn’t working. We got to our next destination easily thanks to this!

The room was spacious and very comfortable during the day but at night the air conditioning settings weren’t great and the room felt quite warm, despite the thermostat set at its lowest value of 15C. To be fair, the heat wave that hit Europe at the end of May was very unusual and I didn’t inform staff until the day we left as it was always great during the day so thought I was imagining it! We weren’t aware until the last day that you could order from the kitchen additional items eg omelet, pancakes. But believe me, there was lots of choice, so not a big deal.

Great location, very friendly staff and helpful, in particular the manageress (Cartier). Greatly assisted us in finding the parking location then picking us up and returning to this location at the end our stay.

Piran is beautiful and the Second Life Hotel (strange name?) has a fantastic location in the old town 30 seconds from the Adriatic. Breakfast buffet was excellent, and chef prepared eggs how you wanted, the cheese and ham omelette was very good.

I didn't like that our room was on the first floor located opposite the restaurant toilets. We couldn't get into the Hotel restaurant on the final night. Probably our fault for not booking!
