The ground floor has a dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen, both with access to the garden, 3 double bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms with showers. On the first floor there are 2 living rooms with satellite TV, 4 double bedrooms, one bedroom with two single beds, and 4 bathrooms with showers.

Il Casale is not too isolated, close to a small town on the slope of a hill not far from the famous medieval city of Cortona, in a panoramic location, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and fields.

The property is the ideal starting point for discovering the local food and local products, as well as all the small hamlets of the area, thanks to the nearby motorway. We strongly suggest visiting and tasting the products of Tuscany’s main cities such as Siena, Arezzo and Florence, as well as the Umbria region with cities like Assisi, Perugia and Lake Trasimeno. The famous Chianti area is about an hour’s drive away.

The farmhouse was terrific---with all of the various "apartments" for six of us to spread out over the house.It was rustic, but comfortable. The mosquitos were a problem, however, because not all of the windows have screens. It is lovely to have open windows without screens, but there is the downside of insects flying in. Some of the showers did not have enough hot water for a full shower, so some of us had to carefully adjust out bathing time. The main kitchen could definitely use more lighting. It was kind of dark in the sitting area and the corner where the stove is located. A standing lamp would help in the sitting area, and perhaps a small lamp on the shelf above the stove. We stayed 9 nights, and could have used another set of towels, besides the two sets each. And the sheets could have been changed midway. We did have to purchase more TP, along with dish soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, and napkins. The manager, Mario, was very responsive to our needs and quickly addressed them. The directions to the property are very hard to follow. We finally had to meet Mario at the COOP market and followed him to the farmhouse. The traffic noise from the road in front of the property is loud, even at night. It is a major road into Camucia. But all in all, I think it is a lovely place to stay with a large group. The grounds were the best! We enjoyed our outside chats. Quite serene, with lovely sunsets above the sunflower fields. I would recommend this VRBO.

Very nice house close to Cortona.
The house has everything you need for good vacation. Great swimming pool and a well kept garden, outside BBQ area, big kitchen and a lot of rooms. It is a plus that there 8 rooms and 8 bathrooms.
Good choice for a big family on a relaxing holiday.
