Pawson House has been tastefully furnished to ensure your complete comfort during your holiday in York. The two double bedrooms have dressing areas, perfect for getting ready for a day at the races or a night out in York. With large comfortable beds in both bedrooms, you are assured of a great night's sleep, making sure that you are ready to make the most of the next day exploring the Museums, City Walls, Theatres etc that are all less than 20 mins walk from your peaceful hideaway.
The spacious living area has a fully fitted kitchen with everything that you need to prepare a sumptuous holiday breakfast or delicious evening meal that you can enjoy in the dining area, with a table that very comfortably sits four people. The seating area has a large screen smart tv with Netfilx installed for you to enjoy, should you choose to have a cosy night in.
For those lovely summer days and evenings there is an outside area with table and chairs for alfresco dining using the BBQ provided. Alternatively you may want to have a glass of wine there, before heading into the centre of York, making the most of all the fantastic restaurants and bars that are ready to welcome you.
This lovely Coach House has everything that you need in your own private space to enable you to enjoy your time in the beautiful city of York, whether you are friends coming to York for the races or a family enjoying time together, this property would be a perfect pick, with private parking and an outside area it will relax you as soon as you walk through the door.

Enjoyable stay in Pawson House. We particularly liked the location and the secure parking space. Unfortunately, we had an issue in that we had no access to hot water on the first morning of our stay but, after a few calls, this was resolved by the Management Company by mid afternoon. Good service provided by Stays York.

There garage door broked but it was solved. We would like it to be solved more quickly and not to insist, but Julia and Molly understood perfectly the issue and managed the situation perfectly.

We’ve previously used Stays York on our trips to York & will highly recommend them as a company. The little details were somewhat missing this time (normally we get a Yorkshire hamper with local goodies to taste, this time it was just individual teabags/coffee/milk & a small twin pack of biscuits) & the customer service wasn’t great when we contacted them about not finding something in the apartment after checking in, but that could be due to the bank holiday weekend approaching.
Pawson House is a great location if you want to explore the north side of York. It can benefit from having more cutlery, crockery & glassware as we found despite only staying for the weekend there wasn’t enough for the 3 of us.
There’s no shaving socket in the bathroom for charging electric toothbrushes which can make it difficult if you’re staying longer than a few days & the laminate flooring on the bathroom has lifted in a few places due to water ingress.
Both the garage door & the entry gate have intermittent problems that cause them to stop or close when you want them open but overall the apartment was nice & clean.
We would have preferred more toilet roll than the one & a half rolls provided given that we were there Fri-Mon. We did look around the apartment/garage but couldn’t find any more located anywhere.
Wed recommend the property to others if staying for a weekend & provided the small problems are addressed. If we use Stays York again, we will probably stay elsewhere though due to nicer properties (Ryedale House & Clifford Townhouse being our favs!)
