Great breakfast options, not expected, lovely outdoor kitchen area with various options for breakfast, host even provided fresh blueberries for us.
The private entry is into the private bathroom which does not directly connect with the private bedroom, you cross paths with another guest sometimes. It's a weird setup, it works but non-standard.

Our stay at Coastal Hideaway in Carlsbad, California was wonderful. Our room was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a private bathroom. The home itself is beautiful and clearly very well cared for.
The location is also excellent. It is a short driving distance from a variety of restaurants and conveniently located, making it easy to get around and explore the area.
Although our schedule was quite busy and we did not have much time to enjoy the backyard during most of our stay, we were able to see it on our last day. The space is truly serene—beautifully landscaped and thoughtfully designed. It offers a peaceful atmosphere that would be perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or relaxing with a book in the evening.
Our hosts, Janie and Don, did an amazing job making us feel welcome in their home. Their hospitality made our visit even more special.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to return in the future.
