It’s a nice, modern flat that gives you that extra space for the price, over and above what you get at that price point for a hotel. Way, way better. If you have visited Amsterdam a few times, it is nice to stay in a different part of town, and this Noord area is different - new build amongst the industrial heritage. It is also nice to use the little Amsterdam ferries (if you wish) instead of the metro. Close to NDSM with the modernist art centres.
It is a 20 minute walk from either the metro, or the short ferry across to Central Station. There are frequent busses up the road, but if you want to pick up food from the supermarket, you end up walking. I/we enjoy the walk but if you’ve spent a long day walking around Amsterdam, it’s a long end to the day.
