Here at Fernwood, we are super excited about our heated Treehouse - open 365 days a year. Our Geodesic dome, sitting within the canopy and 5 metres off the woodland floor, is completely self contained.
Featuring a 5-star hotel standard superking bed, woodburning stove, large rain shower with piping hot water, a fully functioning kitchenette and a large outdoor deck. This dome is the bomb and we actually want to move into it ourselves!!

Our organic farm is on a 140 acre private estate comprising of native woodland and bog, on the shores of the Salt Lake.
Walk out your front door to explore, in complete solitude, our 2km of woodland paths, the wonders of the Connemara bogland or relax in our newly constructed lakeside sauna house with plunge pool.
You can chose to stay in our new refurbished Bothy conversion which is finished to the highest spec with underfloor heating, wood burning stove, sheepskin rugs and feather down duvets
For the ultimate experience chose our luxury treehouse dome/tent or better again a Stilt House Suite with private wood-fired Swedish Hot Tub.

I surprised my wife with a night away and she said it topped it as one of nicest accommodation and location we have been to . Beautiful location simple very comfortable and cosy.

The view out over the forest from the dome is amazing. Many thoughtful touches included in the accommodation e.g. a really good speaker, plenty of logs for the fire, different lighting options. Great bathroom with a huge shower.
The sauna and cold dip were also fantastic with an amazing view over the lake. The only thing we would add is more lighting around the cold dip for the winter months (we were there 5-6pm)
Overall an incredible weekend!

The Dome was so impeccably perfect--clean, cozy, comfortable and far more luxurious and well-equipped than I even expected! Communication was clear and helpful and the space itself is sublime. Every detail has been tended to--from the stacks of books, lighting, stocked kitchen, wood stove and ample fire wood and kindling, comfy bed, hot water bottles, linens and rain shower, outdoor patio--I honestly can't recommend Fernwood enough!
