Communication with the hosts is excellent. Very helpful. The apartment is lovely, feels very secure, is well situated for easy access to the city centre and the little welcome hamper was very much appreciated.

My wife and I came to York, from Canada, on a trip to visit Yorkshire and meet up with my sister and brother-in-law from Dorset. The flat was the perfect size for all four of us and the facilities were perfect. The weather was very warm so another fan would have been nice but we managed.

We were close to the buses, the railway station, the hop-on-hop-off bus. The accommodation was clean and we had everything we needed. One thing, that is tied to the weather is that we could have used another fan so the bedrooms had one each, as the evenings/nights were very warm.

Really helpful detailed guide provided with all key info. The flat is in a nice, safe gated area. Unfortunately when we arrived at the allotted time of 3pm, the flat had not been cleaned or beds changed etc. Messages weren’t responded to but when I phoned, the helpful person checked and found that the cleaners hadn’t come. She arranged for others to come but wouldn’t be finished until around 6.30. So we just left our belongings and went out for the day.They refunded our cleaning fee as compensation and the flat was fully cleaned and prepared when we came back from our evening meal.The flat is outside the main city centre but only 5-10 mins away and is well laid out but we struggled with the road noise. The windows dont seem to block much of it out so we didn’t get much sleep.If better soundproofed windows were installed, we would consider staying there again.
