About this farm stay rental
An oasis of rural calm within easy walking distance of Cortona, just 300 metres from the city walls, this lovingly restored farmhouse is nestled among terraced olive groves with sweeping views across the valley and an intimate secluded stone pool. Amazing peaceful location just ten minutes walk away from Cortona's bustling centre. The whole compound -- main house, two guesthouses, pool and 2-hectare garden -- is for your exclusive use. The space
With room for ten adults in five rooms and two additional children, the house is beautifully restored, full of original detail and rustic charm. This is no soulless rental property but a cherished home where the owner's family spends many weeks every year.
Guest access
The main house is on two floors. On the ground floor is a kitchen/dining room with an open fireplace, a sitting room and a shower/toilet. Upstairs there is a master suite with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, a smaller room with a queen bed, en-suite bathroom and its own terrace, and a room with double/twin beds whose occupants can use the shower/toilet downstairs.
Opposite the main house is a guest cottage with a double bed (can be split into twin beds), en-suite bathroom and small kitchen, while by the pool there is another cottage with a double bed, en suite shower room and a living room where two children can sleep on separate sofa beds sharing a bathroom with their parents, taking maximum occupancy to 12 -- plus a baby or two sleeping in a cot -- but no more than 10 adults.
There are tables to eat outside on either side of the house, following -- or avoiding -- the sun at different times of day, and plenty of shady places to sit in the extensive terraced gardens.

WINTER RENTALS
We are happy to accept bookings throughout the year including the winter months. The prices include all utility costs -- winters can be cold and gas can be expensive which is why the headline price is not very different in the winter to the summer. But if you're interested in visiting in winter reach out to us and we can work something out -- for instance a lower base price and separate payment for any gas you use. And while from March to October we only rent the whole estate, in the winter months a smaller group -- up to six people -- can take only the main house which limits the amount of gas used and allows us to offer a lower base price.

The property is stunningly beautiful and it worked perfectly for our family. Easy walk to Cortona and driveable to other towns. Easy to get the train, too. Sebastian was incredibly helpful and friendly. We loved every minute of our weeklong stay.

Everything about the Villa was picturesque, from the ivy growing up the outside of the stone walls, the beautiful wood beams throughout the rooms, the lavender and rosemary growing that filled the air to the bottle of Prosecco waiting for us in the refrigerator when we arrived. Our host was the most accommodating with detailed directions and information about the Villa, along with nearby shopping and restaurants. He assisted our group throughout our entire visit, going above and beyond! We could not have chosen a better place to stay. It as hard to leave. Thank you so very much Sebastian, you were fantastic!

We had an amazing family summer holiday at this lovely farmhouse. It was exactly as described and was perfect for our family. The house has been kept to feel as a farmhouse, and has been lovingly restored and maintained. This is not a new house that has been made to look old (which is exactly what we were hoping for!), but a home that is truly a reflection of this community. It has lovely finishes and is very comfortable. It is a charming and beautiful home, with lovely property full of olive and fruit trees, roses, grapevines, and lavender. We swam in the pool almost every day, ate under the grape arbor in the afternoons, and watched the amazing sunset every evening.
It was great to be able to walk into town or to the cafe down the street, and the location was great for exploring other nearby towns and regions by car and convenient to the train station which was only a 5-10 min drive.
Our young children loved this house-and loved the pool, the gardens and the town of Cortona as well as Torreone which is the hamlet nearest the house.
Our hosts were wonderful and made sure we were settled, happy, and always had everything we needed.
The only negative is that we had to leave!! Thank you Sebastian and family for allowing us the opportunity to stay this magical place!
