A bummer was that the pool was closed, which was 1 of the main reasons we stayed there, Otherwise, a very nice place.

Location, location, location! We split time between Avila and San Luis Obispo and it was a treat to to stay at San Luis Bay Inn. The inn was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the staff was friendly. Would highly recommend.

The amenities were great. The pool area had a nice bbq grill set up. There was a game room with a pool table and shuffle board.
Front desk staff was nice.
They seem to always be out of pool towels so before you give yours back to trade in for new ones make sure they have clean ones first.
We had a studio room with a kitchen. It was very dated. I felt the pictures were somewhat deceiving. The carpet felt dirty - old grimy and grungy. We washed our feet frequently.
The door handle to the patio was falling off.
