Great place. Yes some stink bugs but easy enough to deal with (owner left a vacuum out which was convenient). Be sure to pull the door really shut. Overall nice quiet location and pleasant stay. Communication with owner easy

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Raystown Family Hideway. Interior space was awesome, fire pit and hot tub a major plus!! Mike was very responsive. We Love visiting Raystown Lake and hope to stay at the Hideway again soon.

Our stay had some pros and some cons.What we liked: The updated kitchen was very nice, spacious, and comfortable. The living room worked very well to relax for a little time together. We loved the fire pit and sitting outside in the evening was very nice. Owners were easy to get in touch with. They were kind enough to let us know that the cleaners would be later to arrive, so that we could check out a little later. That was very great!What could be improved: The hot tub appeared to be leaking when we arrived. We used it, but it never got hot, actually it just got colder, so that was a big disappointment. Perhaps the leaking was related to the heat issues. Half bath was under construction. The owners did let us know about the construction a few days ahead of time, but by the looks of it, it has been under construction for a significant period of time (A review from 3-4 weeks prior noted the same construction). The bedrooms had no lights other than a single lamp. On top the that the bunk room didn't even have a lightbulb in the lamp in that room and I had to take one from another light fixture. I am not trying to be a downer, but my overall impression was that the budget was spent on renovating the kitchen and living room and everything else from the bedrooms to the deck furniture, to the utensils became an afterthought and done a cheaply as possible. TLDR: Nice kitchen, fire pit & living space, everything else is in need of work
