in a unique feel-good atmosphere you will find in our quiet and spacious apartments with stunning views of the Untersee. Visible truss, mud walls with earth tones of natural pigments, antique furniture with exquisite detailing and hand-painted Art pictures by the owner give a special feeling of warmth and comfort - cottage idyll.
You can enjoy the great view of the lake sitting in an comfortable armchair with the Swiss lakeside in the background, cook a nice meal in our high equipped quality kitchen or simply enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace in the evening sun.
Our cottage is located on the beautiful peninsula of the Höri at the Untersee. The Höri impresses with the perfect blend of art, culture and nature with spectacular views over the lake towards the Swiss mountains or Reichenau. There are endless opportunities for relaxation and excursions. Directly outside the house is the Constance Cycle Path or a small beach just 150 meters away, ideal for swimming and games. In the neighboring village you can also rent a small boat or canoe and spend a few hours on the lake. Ferries and excursionboats go on a regular basis to Reichenau, Konstanz or Schaffhausen, they also offer day trips to the island Meinau, Konstanz or Überlingen. The pretty town of Stein am Rhein with its painted facades is certainly worth a visit. Above the house, the Schienerberg extends with its great hiking paradise. The largest waterfall in Europe in Schaffhausen can be reached in just 20 minutes. The ruins Hohentwiel in Hegau, one of the largest fortress ruins in Germany is with children always an experience.

Wir haben Aufenthalt in diesem Haus sehr genossen. Eine kleine Extra-Überraschung war der kleine Strand, der ganz in der Nähe des Hauses liegt und fast „privaten“ Charakter hat.
Die Dachgeschosswohnung war die ganze Zeit trotz hochsommerlichen Temperaturen angenehm kühl geblieben, die Küche war mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, und sogar darüber hinaus.
Unser herzliches Dank an die Familie Botterell für den schönen Urlaub!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The house is located on a beautiful street (really, it's amazing), and there is a small beach within walking distance, should you wish to take an early morning or evening dip. The apartment itself is well furnished and decorated. I loved just sitting in the comfortable arm chair, admiring the view of the lake. Ohningen is near the Swiss border so be sure to visit Stein am Rhein and the Rhine Falls while you're there. Don't hesitate to ask the owners for suggestions about what to see and do in the area, should they happen to be on site during your stay. They were very helpful and gave us some good ideas about things to do with our children. Thank you again, Marika and Roy, for a lovely stay (and the eggs).

Accommodation was excellent and clean. The village is next to the lake and you can walk down and have a swim. If you like open water swimming the lake is great. Cycling for all abilities is easy as they have separated cycle lanes for nearly all roads. There's plenty to see locally we went to the Rhine falls and I would strongly recommend the local town Stein am Rhein. The hosts were very helpful and were able to recommend shops/restaurants. Enjoyed our stay, many thanks.
