About this house rental
Detached Tuscan country house with beautiful views in the hills just outside Lucca. Child friendly pool. WiFi.
This wonderful property is located in a beautiful hilly nature area, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Just as you imagine Tuscany, when it is best with the advantage of being only 9 km from the center of Lucca and with shopping and restaurant within 2-3 km.
The central location makes the place ideal for excursions both in the local area with the ancient "Ville Lucchesi" and Lucca close by but also if you want to visit the more famous places in Tuscany such as Pisa, Florence, Siena. The nature experiences are in line right outside the door, but you are also close to the entire Versilia coast, with long sandy beaches and the Garfagnana mountains north of Lucca, where you can hike and experience caves.
To the house belongs a lush garden.
In a panoramic position you will find the furnished covered terrace from which you can enjoy the view of the valley. BBQ for the warm outdoor summer dinners. Here you will also find the diameter 4 m child-friendly swimming pool.
The pool is private for your use. Mandatory to monitor bathing children.
The holiday home is furnished like a genuine Tuscan country house; cozy rustic with wooden beams in the ceilings, exposed stone walls and original stone floors. Simple and functional in style.
It is divided as follows:
entrance on the ground floor, 2 double bedrooms. These bedrooms both have private bathrooms with shower as well as direct access to the garden through large window doors. On the first floor there is a very room divided into living room with TV, fireplace and sofa bed, dining area with long table and well equipped open kitchen (hob, oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, coffee machine). Bathroom with shower. You get to the first floor either by elevator or by external stairs.
Parking. WiFi.
The owners live in another house on the property but the Gloria house's outdoor areas, terrace and pool are completely private.

The place is amazing even though the set up is a bit strange since the kitchen is on the first floor. The owner is really friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and really close to Lucca.

This house was beautiful and the location was so centrally located to make it easy for side trips to Siena, Florence, ViaReggio, Pisa, which we did. Lucca is the most charming city to be nearest to. A car is a must if you want to go out as it is a country house and you are 10-15 minutes removed from the city. Reynard and Joseph are lovely and so welcoming. They live next store so we had the chance to meet their family but be assured they keep to themselves.

Just returned from an enjoyable break in villa Gloria.
The property has been renovated to reflect Tuscan styles, so very quaint and rustic. Overall comfortable for four people, but not equipped to modern standards, so bear this in mind.
Owner Ronata very friendly and helpful, although her English limited, but better than our Italian, so was not too much off a problem.
Lovely covered outside area for sitting out of sun and dining etc, very hot when we visited, and very welcome pool. The pool is not sunken into ground so accessed by step ladder which requires some care.
The villa is situated in excellent position, with large supermarket five minute drive away, and also local restaurants.
There is also a Michelin starred restaurant near by which we throughly recommend, prices reflect this!!
Many places to visit are within easy reach of villa, then nice to return to peace and quiet of villa.
If you are looking for villa in countryside setting with traditional charm then this fits the bill.
