Rethymno was one of the main highlights of my 10 days in Crete. Effie had a way of making me feel special yet right at home. Her dedication to details and wealth of knowledge and guidance of the area truly spoiled me from beginning to end. I can’t say enough about her cozy old town studio and Effie as a host. A.

I have travelled around Europe regularly for the last 8 years and stayed in many apartments and this was by far the best!
I came to stay here for five days in early March, it's a beautiful old town and the apartment is right in the centre. 5 minute walk to the beach, great shops and lots of places to eat. I am a female solo traveller and felt very safe in the town and people were helpful and friendly. I also knew I could contact Effie if I had any issues and she would have helped me out!
Effie came to meet me to let me in and showed me around. She recommended so many brilliant places across the island, to walk, to eat, to swim! These are places I wouldn't have found on websites or under my own steam. There was some food for me to cook as I had arrived around lunch time with the best olive oil made by Effie. There was a lovely bottle of wine from her vine yard and some raki to try, as well as fruit and a few snacks.
The apartment is stunning, well equipped with anything and everything you could possibly need. Effie would keep in touch, she advised when there was a celebration happening in the town which was amazing fun. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, thank you for a beautiful stay.
