About this house rental
Easton Farmhouse Lodge provides a rare combination holiday of beach, marinas, indoor pool/hot tub fun and countryside enjoyment. Surrounded by fields on a quiet country lane and with views to the South Downs, The Lodge forms part of a Grade II listed Georgian Farmhouse opposite the Medmerry RSPB bird reserve, which reaches down to the sea. A 25 minute stroll or 10 minute cycle across the bird reserve will take you to the secluded Ham beach.
The Manhood Peninsular is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty adjacent to the playground waterways of Chichester Harbour, an estuary popular for its sailing and water sports, wildlife (particularly bird watching), cycling, walking, horse riding, classic cars and Goodwood events.
Located centrally on the peninsular and opposite the Medmerry RSPB bird reserve leading down to the secluded Ham beach, the Lodge is only a few minutes by car to the blue flag beach of West Wittering, Itchenor sailing village, Chichester and Birdham Marinas, Goodwood Estate and historic Chichester. Pagham Harbour, Selsey, Dell Quay and Bracklesham Bay are also only a few minutes away. Bosham, Fishbourne's Roman villa, Hayling Island, historic Arundel (including castle) and the South Downs are also all within easy reach, and the Isle of Wight can be visited by ferry via Portsmouth or Southampton. Local shops are at East Wittering and out of town supermarkets etc on the nearby south side of Chichester.
The Lodge provides comfortable accommodation for 5 people in two bedrooms (Bed 1 with a 5' double bed and Bed 2 with bunk beds and another single), plus a possible further 3 people: 2 on the double sofa bed in the living room and one on a further pull out single in Bed 2 (just fitting the space and possible to form a King sized double). A cot can also fit in either room (in Bed 2 instead of the pull out). Bed 1 has an ensuite shower room and there is also a family bathroom (with shower over the bath) which can be shut off to become an ensuite to Bed 2.
The Lodge has WIFI internet, a TV and log burner. The kitchen is complete with oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and utensils, and there is a utility room with washing machine for laundry (plus iron, ironing board and washing lines). There is a private garden with patios, seating, barbecue and chiminere type fire pit. A trampoline, swing set and football goal are available in the farmhouse grounds for children and up to 5 (basic) adult bicycles can be borrowed. A cot, high chair and small baby bath are available upon request. Our personal indoor hot tub and lap pool (exercise pool with adjustable currents for adults/fun pool for children) and gym equipment are available to use by separate arrangement (extra cost).
Parking is available. A car is essential. Cycling is easy as everywhere is flat.
BOOKINGS MUST BE FOR AT LEAST 5 NIGHTS per week WITH CHECK OUT BY FRIDAY, with arrival after 2pm and departure by 10am on Fridays, to allow for cleaning (multiple weeks are welcomed). Bedding and towels are provided but we ask that beds are stripped prior to departure.
Play equipment is used at guests own risk. Young children should be supervised at all times, especially as there is a pond in the farmhouse grounds. We do not take pets (other than assistance dogs) or bookings for stag/hen dos or parties and we do not allow smoking. All breakages/losses must be reported and paid for.

Very enjoyable stay, the accommodation suited us as both my husband and I are in our eighties and the lodge being all on the ground floor it was perfect. Luckily we also had wonderful weather and a wonderful daughter to look after us.

Lovely place for our two year old Grandson and our daughter to spend a week with us. The cabin was delightful and the enclosed garden was just perfect for our little one to play. Stunning walks from the cabin through the bird sanctuary to the sea, beautiful wild flowers and wonderful views. The weather was hot and sunny and we all had a very enjoyable holiday.

The property is clean, with plenty of room and a well-equiped kitchen. It's set in a lovely quiet lane with lots of seaside attractions within 10-30 minutes in any direction. The walk to the sea is a leisurely 30-minute stroll through a reservation.

Countryside location with a 10 minute cycle to the nearest beach. The owners were very helpful and allowed us to borrow one of their bikes. The lodge felt very new , beautifully decorated and we had everything we needed. WE enjoyed exploring the area very much with trips to Itchenor, Chichester and Bosham
