About this apartment rental
This luxury apartment has been recently refurbished in a way that preserved the historical features of the house it belongs to, CasaNeve, but also adding modern comfort and style. The restored antique wood floor and restored exposed wood work makes the environment very elegant and welcoming. Apartment April sleeps up to 8 people while CasaNeve has a capacity of 26 people.
WE HAVE 3 APARTMENTS IN THE HOUSE.
Centrally located in the ski and spa town of Bad Gastein and only one hour south of Salzburg, CasaNeve is an old historic house completely modernised and refurbished in 2012. The house offers 3 self contained luxury large apartments which can also be rented individually for both your winter and summer holidays, and it can accommodate up to 25 people. This spacious house has retained its classic Belle Epoque style but the apartments also offer all the comforts that both families and young professionals need when on holidays. Each apartment has a very well equipped kitchen, and all the comforts you will need during your holidays such as for instance 40' Smart LED TV, bean to cup Bosch coffee machine, DVD player, free wireless internet, Bluetooth adapter to stream your own movies and music to the TV, plenty of sitting and dining space.
The house has its own ski and heated ski boots storage facility, however we are approximately 300 mt from the foot bridge that takes you the main ski lift which has a very handy ski/boot storage facility in case you did not want to bring your skis back and forward from the house.
We are positioned just above the old center of the town, and in-between the main ski lift and the center. Hence you could always walk 100 mt down a foot path and catch the ski bus from the old center, in case you did not want to rent a car or walk to the ski lift. From the ski lift walking back to the house is about 5 minutes; no need for any ski bus.
Around the house you have a choice of bars, hotels, restaurants, all within a 50 mt radius. One of the best restaurants in town is just below our house.
The highest mountain in Bad Gastein skiing area is Sportgastein, around 2700 mt high, and overall the Gastein area offers 220 Km of skiing for all levels. Bad Gastein is also in between 2 glaciers. Kaprum and the Molltal Glaciers are both above 3000 mt high and can be reached by car in around 45 minutes.
Bad Gastein can be reached by car, from Salzburg 1 hour and 15 minutes and from Munich 2 and half hours. However CasaNeve is 300 mt from the train station of Bad Gastein so you could always take a 1 hour direct train from Salzburg.

Von der ersten Minute an alles top. Übergabe der Schlüssel lief reibungslos und sehr freundlich ab. Parken zum be- und entladen wie beschrieben gut möglich. Der Weg zur Villa mit dem Gepäck ist zwar abschüssig und man muss je nach Anzahl zwei bis dreimal gehen, aber als Training für die kommenden Skitage eine gute Vorbereitung. Die Wohnung (April) 1(OG+UG )ist sehr gemütlich, warm und hat den liebenswerten Charme eines Altbaus (was wir sehr lieben). Besonders hervorzuheben ist die perfekte, freundliche sehr schnelle Kommunikation mit Michelle. Er macht einen super Job. Danke für die tolle Zeit

Suitable for max 6 persons. The appartment was cozy, but not ready at 14 o’clock as promissed. This is important after driving for 14 hours.
Don’t try to locate the appartment but go first to the key-holder. Parking is expensive. A difficult way to the lift - you need to deposit your skies close to the lift.

Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in einer schönen Umgebung, lässt sich allerdings nicht anfahren.
Problematisch war die Beschreibung des Objektes , dass man die Wohnung nicht mit dem PKW anfahren konnte, obwohl eine Straße an dem Haus vorbeiführt. Wir sind dann aus Unwissenheit in diese Straße herein gefahren. Diese war so steil das der Wagen kaum hochkam . Nun standen wir am Ende dieser Straße und kamen dort nicht mehr heraus weil ein PKW die Ausfahrt versperrte. Direkt vor Ort gab es zu dieser Zeit auch keinen Ansprechpartner, der hat sich dann als wir mit dem Auto weder vor noch zurück kamen gemeldet, und gesagt das er nach Hause gegangen sei und wir dort den Schlüssel raus holen könnten. Meine Frau und die Kinder haben sich dann auf einen 30 Minütlichen Fußmarsch über Berg und Tal gemacht, während ich versucht habe das Auto rückwärts rollend und rutschend wieder auf eine normale Straße zu bekommen. Nach insgesamt 1,5 Stunden könnten wir dann endlich die ersten Koffer den Berg bis zum Haus runter schleppen.
Bei der Buchung kam eine PDF mit über 20 Seiten, die den Eindruck einer AGB auf englisch gemacht hat, dort war dann auch die Anfahrt und der Ansprechpartner vor Ort erwähnt.
Dies fanden wir alles nich sehr gastfreundlich, und somit war der Check in für uns eine Katastrophe.
Die Wohnung war auch nicht ganz so wie beschrieben, weil auf den Fotos nur ein Bad, was wohl im OG des Hauses ist, gezeigt worden ist und unser Bad ein sehr kleines Fensterloses Bad im Souterrain war.
Die Gegend und der Ausblick vom Haus aus ist aber sehr schön. Mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern mussten wir noch zweiundsiebzig Euro Kurtaxe zahlen, was ich schon als sehr viel empfunden habe , da die Gondelbahn, Schwimmbad usw. schon sehr Hochpreisig waren , und die Rabbattierung durch Die Gastein Kurkarte sehr gering ausfiel.
Fazit ist das man den Urlaub bekommt den man sich selber macht, demnach haben wir grundsätzlich einen sehr schönen Urlaub dort verbracht, was aber nicht sehr viel mit der Wohnung zu tun hatte.
Eine Anmerkung habe ich aber noch, und zwar finde ich es sehr Schade das man weit im Voraus die Kaution bezahlen muss, und wir jetzt 2 Wochen nach dem Urlaub das Geld immernoch nicht erhalten haben. Es gab auch keine Übergabe vor Ort bei Abreise, den Schlüssel mussten wir dann wieder weg bringen.
