Thankful for the weekend w family. We enjoyed the home and pool for our get together. But disappointed this property is not better maintained. Each load of dishes had to be done twice because dishwasher is not the best, icemaker makes ice but doesn’t disburse ice out the door as it should, 3 jetted tubs in each bedroom , 2 didn’t work(1 we didn’t try) the worst of it all was the stench of the carpet once you were about half way up the stairs. Almost like dog pee saturated carpet or possibly carpet that has gotten very wet and not cleaned. The small inconveniences of the tubs and ice maker were just that, tiny inconveniences. The hot tub and pool and great family space was amazing. My family thoroughly enjoyed it. I did not call the owner about any of these issues , as I said it didn’t greatly affect us. The smell was the biggest complaint but why call the owner… all they could do was replace carpet.

The property was beautiful. The cleanliness and communication with the "host" or contact person no so much. James told me he was at a funeral when I attempted to get ahold of him and I never heard from him again. The cabin was not ready upon our arrival.
