About this house rental

The dreamy house/appartment is on a beautiful hill not far from the sea, bathed in the sun from sunrise to sunset, with a dazzling view of the giant an landscape.

We had a fantastic week with Milo and Lydija in their lovely appartment in the second floor. The apartment has a large terrasse, and because of the apartments position above the town (20min walk) there was a fantastic view over the bay of Kotor. The landlords are really hospitable and open-minded people, and we got very good advices what to visit and great support with our BBQ. Our kids loved the cats and turtles in the garden. In total, we felt extremely welcome, and recommend it to anyone.

We spent ten days in this beautiful place and we are delighted. Great family atmosphere and wonderful hospitable owners. Despite the heatwave and 40 degrees outside the flat was cool and you could go downstairs to the pool at any time. All was completes by a wonderful view from a large terrace on the bay of Kotor and the surrounding mountains. A place worth recommending and for sure we will return there again.

Milo and Lidija are perfect hosts, they have created a wonderful place for a holiday rental and the cleanliness and practicality is hard to fault. We enjoyed our first trip to Montenegro - the sun, the sea (what a gorgeous colour), the history. The apartment is the perfect launchpad to experience everything the country has to offer.

We had a pleasant stay here (family of three), but it was not as expected.
Positives:
1. Sun-bathed terrace with stunning view across the bay. Generally extremely quiet after 9pm (lots of dog and children noise before).
2. Location close to old town with a small supermarket halfway down.
3. Kitchen has everything needed to self-cater (though no microwave).
4. Parking outside off main road.
5. Host friendly and responsive.
Caveats:
1. Titled a “house”, you have only the top floor to yourself. Host lived on the ground floor with other residents in the middle.
2. You have access to ground floor terrace, garden area and small dipping pool. We were told there were no other guests during our stay. Not guaranteed, just lucky. Hosts kept inside, but the pool area felt overlooked by the rest of the house, and we did not feel comfortable to sunbathe.
3. The interior décor was very dated, with only in-bath shower. Some guests may not like walking on animal skin carpets throughout. Beds were spongy and creaky.
4. The map location is incorrect. #45 is marked correctly, with actual property next-door.
5. It is up a steep hill (1km), not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Road is narrow and requires an experienced driver.
6. Extra 50% was added at booking for one child with two adults (property sleeps 4). The host said pricing was set by the company. The company says pricing is set by the host…We accepted, but expecting a much higher standard of facilities in this price bracket.
