The Oregon Coast Scenic Railway steam train passes right below your deck at Rockaway Hideaway, a three-story townhome steps from Rockaway beach. The nostalgic rail trip ends in Rockaway and returns to Garibaldi on daytime trips from May to September, and you’ll have a front-row seat as you relax on one of the two east-facing decks overlooking the quaint downtown area and coastal foothills. You’ll enjoy third-floor views from the elegant great room with its hardwood floors, vaulted ceiling, inset lighting, gas fireplace and large flat-screen TV; Not to mention the plush sectional for lounging with friends. A formal dining area and fully equipped kitchen with gleaming countertops, stainless appliances and a bay window for plenty of light give you beautiful options for eating in. The second floor has a spacious queen bedroom and full bath, a bedroom with two beds, and a foosball table in the bonus room. It’s an excellent launchpad for exploring the North Oregon Coast and its small towns, beaches, and hiking trails. Rockaway’s beach and town are minutes away on foot. Or hop on the train for a scenic, open-car rail trip to Garibaldi, and swing right by your own hideaway on your way back!

This was a great place to get away and relax while being close to the beach and our favorite activities. The house was warm and inviting, and had everything we needed during our stay. The proximity to crabbing locations, fishing, walking on the beach and wonderful small towns on the coast was lovely.
Unfortunately when we arrived and did dishes the sprayer on the kitchen faucet was not screwed in. I did end up fixing this and also noticed there was a bowl under the sink full of water which I believe was for a leak due to the faucet not being screwed in securely. This was the only issue we observed. We would definitely stay in this location again!!! Thank you very much.

Super clean, cozy getaway! Great location close to the beach, and right near our favorite ice cream shops. Some great family memories were made that weekend. We will be back for sure :)

Overall this was a nice place to rent , very clean, everything you need is there. The room we stayed in faced the road and was a bit noisy , bed sat high stepping stool would have been nice . Lots of stairs ! But we saw this when we rented . Close to the beach ! Would recommend, hands down better than a hotel!
