Experience the heart of San Antonio in this historic, one-of-a-kind home within the famous King William District - the city’s very first suburb! This large, stylish, two-story house comes with a separate casita out back that features its own kitchenette and full bathroom. Perfect for big families and groups of friends, it offers five bedrooms including the casita, plus a pull-out couch in the living room. You’ll have plenty of places to hang out, including the large open-concept living and dining area with tons of seating and a Smart TV, the cozy drawing room, the large main bedroom suite with private office, the variety of comfortable bedrooms, or the casita which has a high-top and stools for intimate dining. Or, you can head outside under the covered patio, on the lounge chairs in the yard, or on the front porch. The house includes a propane grill for your outdoor cookouts.
Enjoy all that popular Southtown has to offer with its assortment of fantastic restaurants and shops. You’re down the street from the San Antonio Riverwalk and a trailhead to the Mission Trail Hike & Bike System, a 15-mile pedestrian loop that takes you to all five of San Antonio’s Spanish missions: The Alamo, Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada. The Mission Trail includes dozens of additional attractions and long, scenic stretches of the San Antonio River. For adventurers, you’re a 10-minute walk to a launch of the Mission Reach Paddling Trail, eight miles of kayak, and paddle-friendly river.

This house was the perfect spot for our young athletic group. The kitchen was amazing and Will stopped. The house was absolutely gorgeous and we were in a safe quiet location. I will definitely book there again.

Overall, this place is great if you want a convenient spot close to San Antonio's main attractions (River Walk, Alamo, Market Square, etc.). Here are some details to help other travelers:
The home is renovated but still older, so the floors and doors squeak. There are no curtains, and with many windows, it might be tricky if you have kids who need complete darkness to sleep. It seems they might be selling the place, which could explain the lack of curtains. We brought portable blackout curtains, but not enough for every window. The house does get a lot of natural light.
There’s a distant train you can hear, but sound machines worked fine for us. Similarly, there’s a nearby dog, though its noise wasn’t bothersome with the sound machine.
The casita is useful for extra space, but its bathroom foundation is slanted, making it a bit dizzying. We planned to have my grandfather stay there but worried he might fall at night.
There are two showers in the main house, both upstairs. The pots and pans are basic, so bring cooking spray and your own seasonings; salt and pepper are provided.
The property has plenty of room for everyone, and the main area is great for cooking and hanging out. As I mentioned, it’s close to everything, so it works well as a basic place to stay. Just keep in mind, the neighborhood you drive through may look older and a bit rough, but it felt safe. There’s also a nice short trail nearby with modern apartments, coffee shop, restaurant you can walk to.

Awesome location, just minutes away from downtown. Plenty of room for family to relax, after a full day being out walking downtown San Antonio. Quiet neighborhood
