About this cabin rental
Looking for a romantic getaway at a one-of-a-kind property? Casita Juanita is waiting for you to enjoy the Texas Hill Country during the day, and at night, unwind in your own hot tub on the patio with a gas grill and fire pit, overlooking the lake at Basecamp Resort! Our dark skies offer excellent starry night viewing and our 3-acre lake is set up for adventure with fishing (catch and release), kayaking, and swimming in our resort pool. All that and Guadalupe River access is less than 1/4 mile away! You can bring a pole and some bait and explore 3 other ponds along our hiking trail. We also provide kayaks and paddleboards for your use at the lake.
Casita Juanita is an efficiency-style 280 square foot cabin, with a single open concept room and a private bathroom. You will find a king-sized bed with memory foam mattress, a 43" smart TV, and a cozy seating area to enjoy the surrounding views.
There is no dishwasher or stove/oven in the cabin. There is a microwave, sink, Keurig coffee maker, and a small refrigerator with a freezer compartment.
We have 3 other cabins on the property, The Rocking F Rambler (1 BR), Carmel Cabin (1 BR) and The Lodge at Basecamp (4 BR w/ detached bunk room). We have recently added five glamping tents to the property, each with its own private hot tub and yard.
Important things to note:
The grill is propane, so there is no need to bring charcoal. We provide Duraflame logs for the fire pit, but you are welcome to bring firewood as well.
When the pool is heated (Spring Break only), it will be heated to 78-80.
PET POLICY: We welcome dogs (max 2) for a $50 pet fee. We love dogs (we have 2 of our own) and we are super happy to be able to provide a pet friendly glamping resort. In order to keep the property dog-friendly, we kindly ask that you:
- Do not bring your dog if they are barkers. To be respectful of other guests, we cannot allow dogs on the property that bark constantly and if this happens, you could be asked to leave. If you are unsure if your dog is a heavy barker, check with your neighbors ;)
- Clean up after your dog, both inside and outside (we provide dog waste bags at the cabin).
- Do not allow your dog on the bed.
- Dogs may not be left unattended inside the cabin unless you bring a crate.
- Dogs are not allowed in the pool area. There are no exceptions to this rule, as this is associated with Texas law.
- There will be a $250 fee assessed if evidence is found that an undisclosed pet was brought onto the property.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will help us keep the resort pet friendly for future guests!!! We do not allow cats on the property.
Smoking of any kind is not permitted on the property.
Parking and all resort amenities are for registered guests only.
A rental agreement and security deposit are required prior to arrival. A $300 hold will be placed on guest's credit card two days prior to reservation date and released once the property has been assessed for damages. There is NO CHARGE to guest's credit card unless there are property damages. The hold is automatically released after the reservation. We have never withheld a deposit before, and very likely will never have to, because we have the most awesome guests!!!

This place is perfect for a romantic getaway! The cabin is so nicely furnished and was super easy for check in/check out. The kitchen had plenty of room for us to bring some snacks and drinks. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and felt like we had plenty of privacy and quiet. The pool area is nicely updated and would be so relaxing when the warm weather gets here. I loved being close to Kerrville when we wanted to go out for a nice dinner, but the location was exactly what I wanted for a weekend to just relax and get away from the world. Highly recommend!

This property owner made the entire process as simple as could be, and it over delivered in every respect. Everything is within walking distance from the pond to the trails to the pool. They’ve taken steps to ensure privacy for each visitor, and everything was completely headache free. We’ll very likely be back!
