RIVERFRONT RETREAT WITH HOT TUB ON THE NANTAHALA RIVER.
This home away from home is one of the few privately owned properties in the Nantahala Gorge just outside the National Forest. Our mountain retreat sleeps six guests comfortably with two bedrooms with a primary bathroom attached to the main bedroom and a guest bathroom. Outside HOT TUB. The kitchen and living room areas are open and spacious. It is like living in a tree house with a view of the river. Lots of things to do at our River House Retreat. Fish from the bank, watch the rafters and boaters float by. Enjoy the night sky and river at night by the fire pit and relax with a cool beverage by the river. If that is not enough excitement, how about a white water raft ride down the Nantahala River, and stop off at your own private retreat for a half way break or just relax on the covered porch and watch the river pass by. Fantastic location!! The porch and fire pit area are awesome. There are window a/c units in both bedrooms at opposite ends of the house. The living area was warm. Appliances are dated, but the location is outstanding . We loved having coffee in the mornings and a cocktail in the evenings on the porch or by the river.

Enjoyed the deck which was right on top of the river. Watched the kayakers and paddle boaters go by along with the GSMR train on the other side. House was very clean. Took me a minute to figure out the HDMI cable is shared between the Dish and DVD player. Might consider a small window shade in the bedroom with 2 queen beds. Owner was immediately responsive over text. Hope to go back again.

Came into town to ride the polar express and make memories with the family and thought that i could do a little trout fishing from the bank while staying here. Unfortunately it rained and we didnt get the chance

Great Location! The back porch and lower level on the Nantahala River were very fun. You could sit and watch rafts, duckies and kayaks go by all day. Check-in was very easy. Place need some upgrades. It was a blast back to 1980.
