Hôtel la Croix Blanche

I was not expecting a grand suite here on Mont St Michel. And I didn’t get one!! But what I got was a sweet and yes, tiny, room that had all the right stuff including a window to watch the tidal waters come in to surround the Big Rock in the Bay. And a little bump on my head going down the narrow spiral stairs and out the circuitous trail to the reception because these places were not built way back when for 6’3” dudes! Too much fun. But the team here and at the lively restaurant attached to the hotel were all delightful and enjoyable. Best of all was the unique experience of spending one evening of and night — almost by myself because the tourists had gone back to the mainland by 5:30pm the afternoon I arrived — on this truly magical and unbelievable Rock! I highly recommend the experience and this sweet hotel!

Walking out the front door the next day into hordes of tourists in the streets! Fortunately I had spent a charming and quiet evening here the night before.

Great location and nice staff

I could hear some noise outside the room when others guests were climbing the stairs.
