Apartments Cologne

It was close to where I wanted to be, and the place was clean and accommodating.

Would have been great to have a separate light (like a table lamp) so that getting up in the night wouldn’t mean turning the big bright light on.

The apartment is well located and it was very clean and comfortable. The pizza restaurant just steps away is excellent! The instructions from the host and his reply to a question we asked were excellent. There is a little kiosk and a bakery very close by and an ice cream store directly under the apartment.

There is no lift and we had quite big cases to get up the steps! But it is only one flight of steps. With a smaller bag this would not be a problem!

I booked an apartment on this leg of the journey (instead of a hotel) as I needed a washing machine and dryer. However, the washing machine and dryer were not in the apartment. They were shared. And other people's laundry was left in them. Also the dryer was not a real dryer (tumble dryer). It was a condensation dryer, which takes hours to dry and wrinkles all of the clothes. Anyway, I couldn't get access to the dryer because of the queue, so I had to hang clothes around the apartment. However, I only had four hangers. Also, there was only one key and my holiday mate did't want to do the same activities as me. When I asked for a second key, saying that I would pay for it, the answer was no.
