The Butterfly House

Incredible home in the woodlands, clean nicely decorated and really sizable at a great price, would have loved to stay longer, will come back

Peaceful location surrounded by forest and had a little stream running past. Interesting house design and layout. Lovely internal decor, obviously put together by someone with a clear aesthetic taste that I liked. My tweens thought it was magical and stated that it was the best house we'd ever been in on vacation! Bright, large windows to enjoy the surrounding nature. Well equipped and organised kitchen. Communicative host.

Master bedroom had huge big windows - great for nature. But sun woke us too early daily. Option of shades or curtains would have been good. Part of the driveway is a cute bridge over the stream - be warned it is narrow.

Location - This is a pristine and peaceful Malibu woods nature retreat on a beautiful creek, feels secret & special Comfort - This is well-furnished, roomy house with 3 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, cool architectural elements & decor, indoor & outdoor lounge areas, surrounding grounds to explore outside, board games/toys and lots of play space inside for little kids (great for us when it was too wet/cold to play outside.) Convenience - The proximity to Central Malibu makes it a very easy drive to supermarket, dining, beaches & nearby day-tripping sites. Pro-tip: The primary bedroom has a huge walk-in closet that can be used as a mini bonus room for a baby to sleep in undisturbed! Having our two little ones sleep in separate rooms is what works best in our family, so we set up the portable crib for our baby in the walk-in closet and gave our 4 yr old daughter the second bedroom to herself.

Unfortunately our trip coincided with a deluge of rain. We wished the Butterfly House could've just flapped its wings to chase away the storms! :)
