We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Old Cookhouse, blessed with very nice weather. It’s a very quiet and peaceful location which we liked and there are walks you can take right next to the property.
The bungalow was very inviting the minute we walked through the door. It was extremely clean everywhere. The double bed was very comfortable, also the sofa’s in the lounge. The kitchen was lovely and bright and very well equipped. The water pressure is excellent everywhere! Good Wi-Fi too!
We wanted to explore Winchester and found the park and ride nearby easy to find and use. It drops you at a central point very close to the Tourist Information shop. Winchester is wonderful and full of history, well worth a visit, as is the surrounding area.
With The Old Cook House being the perfect place to stay and us with a lot more to explore, we will be back! Thank you Tanya and Phil for your nice welcome and well done for your hard work on converting your property into a top class self catering stay.

The Old Cook House was just as described. Very comfortable accommodation with everything we needed for a lovely week, including a fenced garden. We really appreciated all the clear information about the appliances. The host was also always on hand for any advice if needed. A great location to walk into Winchester from and lovely walks into the countryside straight from the property.
The property was just perfect for us, nothing to dislike.

Lovely, super clean property with everything you require for a short stay.
Our welcome committee was the most obnoxious I have ever received, no hello, welcome, just show us the dog! a list of rules on top of rules, beware! The lady in question ought not be in the service industry, we stayed a while ago but has taken this long to put into words, was so angry, not allowed to bring over our two sons and one of their girlfriends for just a couple of hours with a tiny dog, I mean tiny or there was going to be an extra charge, properly spoilt our few days away to see our boys for the first time in a year, the attitude of the hosts left us so agast we went elsewhere after a couple of days.
Beware the book of extra T&C's post booking that are numerous to greet you for on arrival. See picture!
