A spacious house with lovely decor, comfortable beds & bedding & the most amazing views from the lounge & balcony! We were 4 adults (sisters) but 6 (3 couples) could easily stay there, though there were only 4 wine glasses! There was a pub about 2 mins walk along the road but we weren’t there long enough to use it.
The steep hills! It’s about a 15/20 min walk down to the centre of Matlock but with a few dodgy knees in our group, we didn’t attempt to walk back up. We used a local cab which was only about £6 (Mr T’s) WiFi was very intermittent.

Comfortable beds, warm house, good layout
It would been easier to sign out of a high security prison than to book the stay here. Was stated to take a small amount of money as a guarantee they took £200.00 I did get it back. Ironic that the cleaners advise if we get the guarantee or not if it was left in a mess. Yet the house wasn’t perfect found someone’s sock under furniture in bedroom and waste on kitchen floor. Not being picky just honest.

The house was a beautiful place with stunning views.
It did have a musky smell as you walked into the house and a bit of ware and tear but nothing that wont make your stay worse. It was lovely.. the musk smell was fine after having the windows and door open for a little aring but apart from that fine. WiFi didn't work when we arrived but they did sort this out as quickly as they could.

Having the bedroom carpet hoovered and free from wood lice and a tablet and bits of fluff. It spoilt the bedroom which was nice otherwise.
