Spotlessly clean and an excellent location - the Downs mere yards down the street. Also the owners have kitted it out well - the sofas are super comfy and my son loved the big bean bags. There's everything you might need in the kitchen and little touches like the hallway nightlight, fans in the cupboard (I get quite warm at night), boardgames and decent WiFi.
Everything went smoothly and we didn't need to contact the owners during our stay, but had a welcoming message from them and I felt confident that should we have needed to, they would be approachable and helpful. Highly recommended!
The upstairs toilet is actually on a middle landing with 4 steps down from the main bedrooms. My elderly mum was with us and these were a little tricky for her in the middle of the night. They were on the same level as the child's bedroom but mum couldn't manage the transfer from the low bottom bunk bed. To be fair it is in no way marketed as being disability friendly and there was a nightlight to cover the stairs which helped. This was a specific issue to our circumstances and I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't even think twice about it, but probably worth flagging up for the few people it might be a bit troublesome for.

Location and nearby amenities were excellent.
The damp patch on the wall in the twin bedroom.
The damp and smell and lack of ventilation in the downstairs shower room.
The empty bowl in the middle of the dining room floor underneath the skylight which obviously must be leaking (we did not have rain fortunately)
The first impression wasn’t great as the front pathway was covered in leaves and bird mess which could have been cleaned.
The front door could do with a lick of paint
The windows were dirty.
