Door was unlocked. Free parking. Drove up a narrow road to get there. Great view. We had to walk down a dirt path (covered by rug) to get to the home. Step in bathtub with shower spray might be hard for some people to get into. Small bathroom a bit outdated. Beds ok. One room has a set of bunk beds. Has kitchen and a separate living/dining room. Close drive to gondola to ski lifts. A bit rustic but still enjoyed it. Feels like you are living with the locals.

Fantastic views, authentic and rustic alpine feel. Cosy feel with wood chip burning heater stove. Hosts were excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful , friendly and kind. They even helped us dig out our car in deep snow one morning . Made maximum use of space to allow potential for 6 guests although we were only 3. It was a nice surprise to find that the wifi worked well .
We had a car so were fine, but it’s a long way from the centre of Valtournenche if you want to go to a bar or restaurant, and the Cable car base. My friends said the cockerel woke them early most mornings but thats life in the countryside I suppose.
