Lovely homely cottage in a beautiful area. Perfect for a family of 4 with good access to all of the Lake District. All of us including both our children (12) &(10) loved the cottage. It had everything you need amazing shower, brilliant kitchen that has everything and the fire place is fantastic for nice warm family nights inside after a long day walking. We ordered a Tesco delivery for the day we arrived which was a massive bonus. We will certainly be staying again next year!!

Lovely cottage in a nice location. Keswick easily accessible by bus and car. Close to the distillery, which is worth a visit. Can't think of any real downside to the cottage. I struggle to keep the fire going, though that was probably my inexperience. The beds were comfortable, nice size lounge and well equipped kitchen. Village pub less than a 5 minute walk. Nicve area with some nice walks, though ours were limited owing to the weather.

The house is beautiful. The open fire is excellent. The location is very good. The local pub is friendly.

Over a month before our visit, my elderly mother's hip-operation was rescheduled (after years of pain and cancellations) for the final day of our stay. I explained the situation to our hosts, asking for a refund, but they were inflexible, uncompromising and decided to profit from the situation, charging us for the night we didn't stay. They just hid behind their policies - "our hands are tied" - policies which they wrote! There were also various basics missing from the kitchen. And the shower overflows if used for more than a few minutes.
