We had a lovely stay at hilber cottage, good location 10 min walk to the town. Plenty of room for all the family. Everything was clean & comfortable, beds where super comfy.

Location was lovely. Outside the cottage you could hear the waterfalls, which encouraged us to go exploring to find it.
Spacious cottage, good size living space, which was ideal as it was a group of us staying.
It's only a short walk into Ambleside, but bare in mind it's a fairly steep walk back up the hill to the cottage.
We befriended some of the horses in the field across the road too.

Fantastic location, just a 10 minute walk from town. Perfect rural area onlooking a farm with lots of sheep/horses!
The living areas were spacious with lovely decor, alongside everything you’d need in a cottage.
Beds were comfy and lovely warm carpeted floors made it nice and cosey.
I would definitely come back!
The only thing I can think of is the walk from town was quite uphill and with shopping it can be a bit or a chore.
Also some of the ceiling lights/doorframes are a-little low, so for someone like myself who is 6ft 2, I had to be careful at times.
