Croagh Patrick Lodge Apartment

The location and ambiance were outstanding. The combination of the beautiful farmhouse exterior and interior, set right at the foot of Croagh Patrick, was perfect. The building and grounds are immaculate, giving a superb first impression. Inside, the rooms are artistically and affectionately decorated — each one feels unique, thoughtfully crafted, and full of character. The view from the bedroom is breathtaking: it looks out over the back garden and two fields straight to Croagh Patrick. You really couldn’t ask for a better outlook.

Almost everything about our stay was lovely and exceeded expectations. The only downside was some mismatch between the listing description and reality regarding the kitchen facilities. It is advertised with a kitchen, but there is actually only a compact setup (microwave, air fryer, toaster) with no hob or running water nearby. Washing up had to be done in a plastic bowel with water being brought from the bathroom, which felt a bit unhygienic. A clearer description would help future guests. The host was very responsive when we asked for a larger teapot.

Great location, 100m from start of Croagh Patrick pilgrimage and with great views of the trail and to the sea. The property is 5* in all respects. Murrisk is very well maintained and is pedestrian friendly. It is a 12 minute drive from Westport.
