After a truly stressful and unforgettable experience at a hotel in Amsterdam, arriving at the Eiger View Alpine Lodge felt like a warm embrace. This stay provided the exact comfort, peace, and welcoming service we needed to finally feel at home and put our past travel hurdles behind us.
The Highlights:
• Exceptional Service: The staff here are remarkably friendly and professional. A huge "Kudos" to Gianluca, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He managed to check us in very early—well before the scheduled time—without any extra charges. This gesture meant the world to us given how tired we were.
• Breathtaking Views: The panoramic views of the Eiger are simply stunning. Waking up to that scenery was the best medicine to compensate for our previous bad experiences.
• Delicious Breakfast: The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety and the perfect fuel to begin the day.
Pro-Tip for Getting There:
Don’t struggle with your bags! From the Grindelwald Train Station, simply hop on Bus Line 122. It’s a short, scenic 5-6 minute ride. Get off at the “Gaggi Säge” stop, which is just a stone's throw from the hotel entrance. It makes the arrival completely stress-free.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough for your next trip to Grindelwald. To the entire team: keep up the fantastic work! We left feeling unburdened and happy.

Use of kitchen between 1pm-10pm but limited equipment.
Bus into town close by every half hour
Challenging walk to hotel from train station with suitcase if you don’t take the bus. Highly recommend taking bus (no 122) to Gaggi Sage from the bus station. It’s less than two minutes walk.
Free internet in room but no television.
TV in residents lounge but couldn’t get the apps to work and no live TV
Room very clean and warm. Breakfast 20€ pp average.

6 bus stations away from Grinderwald Station but with frequent buses 122 reach direct to the hotel(150m walk from bus stop). Very lovely and cozy room with stunning views direct from the room and every window! Full kitchen equipment and relaxing common sitting areas in the lodge. Comfortable bed and overall, a very pleasant place to check in.

Good overall, take the bus to get up there. Just needs a strip to stop water spreading outside the shower screen
