Large 5 bed 3 bath house 300 meters from beach and restaurants

Spacious property with plenty of room for our multi generational family, the grandchildren loved it. Central Newquay location near Towan Beach and town centre and a very well equipped kitchen. A good walk from Fistral so we got our steps in too!

Our only negative was the outside space, a small unloved yard, though it did have a washing line!

I'm reviewing on behalf of 9 people so not all mine :) Location absolutely superb, everything on the doorstep and in easy reach.... brilliant for location!!! Shower was great, good pressure and large space as was bathroom spacious and modern. Kitchen well stocked with plates, cups utensils etc. Nice large bedrooms with comfortable beds and utility room and downstairs shower room are excellent for beach gear and wetsuits etc. Common areas all clean upon arrival.

I'm reviewing on behalf of 9 people so not all mine :) Dusty areas behind beds and skirting boards and behind bedside tables and on top of wardrobes....areas that seem to not get cleaned. Damp smell in certain areas downstairs. Doors and door closers in poor condition and very noisy. Sofas not very comfortable. WiFi terrible.... even though many boosters have obviously been added throughout house, kids struggled to get online and impossible to watch anything on TV as just keeps buffering. Bedroom wardrobe and a drawer front broken. Didn't use the terrace as it didn't seem very inviting and has seen better days.

Property was clean and well presented on our arrival. The dinning and the kitchen was just enough to fit everyone. All Rooms were perfect especially when they have bathroom available in each floor.

It would be nice to have a tumble dryer- not that we needed it because we had the sun. The bath tub tap wasn’t working but it didn’t bother anyone as we didn’t feel the need to use it.

Great size plenty of space for a big family. The two living rooms were ideal so the oldies had one and the teens had their own space to watch tv on a night. Dining room is great for larger families so everyone can eat together. Well equipped kitchen. Washing machine was useful, as was the additional space in the utility room. Location was perfect for walks to the beach/shops. Close to all big supermarkets which was great for loading up. Parking permit was great, we used that in all the car parks we went to. Mark left us flowers and milk for our arrival which was very kind and appreciated. We reported an issue mid stay and he was quick to respond - met him at the property lovely guy.

There was a bit of smell in the kitchen which was pretty bad when we arrived, tried all sorts to get rid of it. Ended up getting room scents to dot about. Didn’t notice it as much by the end of the week. We cleaned the windows inside and out downstairs ourselves as they were extremely dirty. The bath hot water pressure is none existent so had to fill it using a bucket to carry hot water up from the kitchen so that the toddler could get a bath. Bathroom sink and shower plug holes were both blocked - took a while for water to drain away. Shower tray had two long cracks in. WiFi wasn’t great, despite leaving the doors open to help the router signal it still meant the TVs buffered. We didn’t connect any devices to the WiFi as it really struggled. It wasn’t great weather whilst we were there and we had no access to the heating controls so it was chilly in the mornings and evenings, although there were throws in the living rooms. The car park opposite is very very tight and we thought we had to park in that one with the pass so it would have been useful to perhaps have a welcome book explaining things such as being able to use the pass in literally any council car park in Cornwall. However after a few days we figured that bit out so park in an easier one near the park. The house in general could benefit from a full deep clean and a bit of maintenance.
