If you want to stay in a small, family-run guest house in an authentic little town on Lake Ohrid — this is the place to stay. The hosts are lovely and provided us with incredible meals. We are glad we stayed here!

I really loved the authentic atmosphere of House 1960. The house is beautifully restored, combining traditional charm with modern comfort. The location in Lin is perfect, quiet, scenic, and right by the lake.
The hosts were extremely kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the first moment. The room was very clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. Everything was well thought out, and you can really feel the care put into the place.
A truly relaxing and authentic stay, highly recommended!
Honestly, there was very little to complain about. If I had to mention something, the area around Lin is very quiet, so options for nightlife or activities are limited but that’s also part of its charm.

I couldn’t say nicer things about this place. The hosts were so incredibly kind and warm, despite the language barrier. It felt less like a hotel and more like visiting someone’s home. The room was clean and beautiful, with a great view. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was great. They made us a homecooked meal for dinner that was the best meal we had during our 10-day trip. (Gotta try the fish!) I only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for everything!

House 1960 has so much to love! The owners are super friendly and welcoming, the verandas offer a great space to relax with a view of the lake, the garden is cute for breakfast, the room was spacious and comfortable, the shower was sooo good!
