General location was excellent, deep in the sheep country of the Peaks, the cottage itself was ideally sited close to the delightful village of Monyash, and with fresh air walks immediately outside the front door. Cottage was very well appointed and self-catering was no problem with all the essential cooking tools to hand. Just be sure that you bring all the ingredients that you will need ( there is a new Aldi on the A6 just West of Bakewell ). The modern shopping complex ( for tourist trade I guess ) called Peak village is in nearby Rowsley and is well worth a visit.
Unfair to mention but it does not have terrestrial TV, no doubt due to location, but the on-line streaming was fine so we could catch all 'live' news we wanted to.

We appreciated the grocery pack, milk, bread etc, The situation was as expected, typically Derbyshire. We enjoyed the proximity to Bakewell and Buxton. Standard of fittings was quite high. We hope to return.
The dishwasher did not work, but that was not really a problem. Otherwise all worked well.
