Eine gemütliche, sehr angenehme Unterkunft im Zentrum von Erfurt.
Wurde herzlich begrüßt von der Hauskatze „Uschi“

The single room I stayed in was completely renovated with new furniture and a really clean bathroom. I was surprised at the size! You can also choose to either have the room super bright or half-lit. This was great for both working and relaxing.
I guess the furniture's cedar wood smell builds up when the room isn't rented out. If you don't like it you can air the room and the smell dissipates quickly.
The host was very friendly and the cats as well (only saw them once, you can avoid them if you're allergic).
It was bad weather during my stay so the room turned quite chilly. The heating worked fine and an extra blanket was provided. :)
The location is conveniently close to some of Erfurt's landmarks: The Dom, Klein Venedig (a beautiful area with small creeks and bridges) and the old town centre. You can easily see most of the city in one day. A tram stop with the most important tram lines is 2-3 min away on foot. There's bakeries and supermarkets nearby. Keep the limited opening times of Thüringen in mind! Supermarkets except for the REWE on Anger close at 18:00 on Saturday. The nearest open bakery on Sunday is just past the tram stop if you follow the tracks towards the Dom.
The stay is located on a normally quiet street, but if you're on ground level and staying during the weekend you might need ear plugs. Every few minutes people walk down there talking loudly and shouting. They also park cars right next to the (not sound-proofed) windows and slam the doors.

Wenn ich ein Riese wär, könnte ich das Fenster öffnen. So aber nicht. Ebenso: Wenn ich ein Riese wär, käme ich auch mühelos in das hohe Bett. Ohne zu Hilfenahme des Sessels, hätte ich mit Anlauf springen müssen. Bin 1,55 m.

Das Zimmer ist wirklich schön und sehr sauber.
Viel zu kalt. Das gesamte Haus ist super kalt. Es hatte Minusgrade draußen und das Zimmer wurde nicht vorgeheizt. Ich kam in ein eiskaltes Zimmer und ab 20/21Uhr wurde die Heizung abgestellt. Ich konnte fast nicht schlafen, so kalt war es. Hier geht das Sparen zu weit. Fand ich wirklich frech bei den Außentemperaturen.
