Xavier was a very welcoming 'patron'. He gave us great advice on key things to see and do. His sister bistro, Monsieur Madame was delightful too. Xavier was also very helpful in 'guiding' us around the various areas outside of the Intra Muros. His stories of his various travels were also a source of good conversation. All in all, a lovely stay.

The only issue was the lack of a good mirror in the room. Not a major matter.

Xavier is a great host. The property has so much history and character and also all the modern comforts. The breakfast was super fresh and the location is ideal. I highly recommend L’Accroche Coeur.

Xavier was a friendly, attentive and caring host. Location was exceptional, room was roomy.

Stairway was a bit of a challenge early on.

We felt extremely privileged to be able to stay at L’Accroche Coeur! It’s a very special Auberge not least because it survived the bombing in 1944! Xavier - our host welcomed us with a brief history of his special hotel! Our room L'Ambitieuse was extremely comfortable - comfy bed, perfect pillows, fluffy towels and enough while compact sized it’s cleverly decorated and spaces are likewise cleverly designed! The original beamed ceiling - magnificent! The hotel is tucked away from the main thoroughfares so reasonably quiet too. Breakfast - fresh fruit salad, home made pastries, absolutely delicious home baked baguettes, butter, jams tea and cafe au lait. Just heaven.

Nothing - what was not to love! There is a shared lounge space where you can relax - tea and coffee is available but unfortunately no milk but hardly a deal breaker given all that’s on offer!
