Situated in the historic town of Ironbridge, in the heart of rural Shropshire, The Garden Apartment is nestled around an attractive courtyard, enjoys all that Ironbridge has to offer. Many museums that are spread along the banks of the River Severn trace Ironbridge’s history. The Iron Bridge itself is a reminder to its importance. Visitors can browse around the array of craft and souvenir shops as well as great bars and restaurants.
Visit Bridgnorth, an historic town split in two but connected via a unique Victorian cliff railway. Madeley, 1 mile, boasts listed buildings galore, the grandest being Madeley Court. Newport offers a plethora of independent shops and eateries, whilst Telford has an indoor shopping area with over 150 shops and cafés. Wellington, hosting one of the oldest markets, is also worth a visit, and Wrekin Hill is a comfortable walk away. Kayaking, canoeing, cycling, walking, gliding, golf, fishing and horse racing are all available, whilst places to visit include castles, abbeys, working farms and museums, discovery centres, gardens, parks and historic houses. The garden apartment is compact, but spacious. There is everything you need for cooking meals and if you just feel like a snack, probably the best pork pies & sausage rolls are just around the corner.
There are plenty of local pubs serving good food & drinks not too far away, and if you just feel like not going out, the courtyard garden is a lovely sun trap.
