We had a great 3 night stay at Aurora Boutique Hotel in the hill town of Spoleto. We knew very little of the town or the area and found great restaurants, beautiful parks, Roman ruins and much more. The thing that attracted me most about the hotel was the use of murals in many of the rooms. The rooms were small, but large enough to include a desk, comfortable chair, decent closet space, and a nice bath with shower. Our view was of the wall in the neighboring building that was under an earth quake retrofit. Even with construction noise during the mornings, we enjoyed our stay and found views everywhere except from our window. The staff were charming and helpful.
We were enchanted by Spoleto itself and could walk to the Cathedral from the hotel, the amphitheater was almost next door, and we were very near escalators running through large tunnels in the hill to other points of interest, so the location was even better than it seemed on the booking map. The food was also distinctive, and restaurants were easy to walk to and could be found everywhere.
Everything suited us, including a lounge area adjacent to the breakfat room.

Location
Hotel is very tired nothing like the photos you are showing. Room very dark only 2 narrow window which overlooked other properties.
Courtyard not very pleasing, outdoor walls needed painting.
