We really liked the apartment. It was very spacious and lovingly decorated with nice photos of the surroundings by the owner. The bed was very comfortable and the shower very nice. The apartment has a very good balcony terrace with fantastic views of the mountains. The owner has many tips and is very friendly. We found the price very reasonable and Berchtesgaden a great place to explore the region. We really like the guest cards which you can use for discounts and free busses.
It is a self catering apartment but we expected some basic amenities such as pepper, salt and soap. There was only half a roll of toilet paper. You can buy extra from the owner but having a couple of things like that in place would help make you feel even more welcome. (Same with the towels; there were sets of two each for 11 nights, more can be let.).
It would be convenient to have a folder with some local information on attractions, busses and restaurants.
