Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind and always ready to help with a smile. Overall, the visit was excellent and I would recommend for anyone to stay here.

New owners are lovely people and I believe they will make this place a success, even a destination if given time.
They have recently renovated and the new bar is stunning. The restaurant also looks well and the food we had at the Easter Sunday carvery was great.
The entertainment in the bar was super.
Staff are all very approachable and lovely to speak to, but most are quite young and new to the business so they were learning on the fly quite a bit. Senior managers could do more to help direct them and help the owners drive things forward.
The rooms are dated, but they are on the owners' 'to do' list, and based on what they have done with the bar I expect they will be stunning when completed. That said, they were clean and had all we needed for comfort (though a small fridge might be nice).
The breakfast service was laboured and inconsistent. 1st morning, juices, fruit platters and pastries all served on the table quickly on seating. Hot breakfast orders came out piping hot; 2nd morning, none of the above and self serve for juice. Grilled tomatoes not grilled, scrambled egg came fried. Attention to detail was not on point sadly for morning number 2.
Saturday night - unable to get food at 8pm as the kitchen had stopped taking orders (need to make residents a priority folks!)
Sunday night - waited over an hour and a half for bar food to be served in the restaurant due to overcrowding - not ideal with 2 kids under 10, especially when 1 is autistic and lacking patience. Was promised a refund on this by Martin that never happened. Again, residents deserve more focus given they've paid for the home from home experience.

Wonderful welcome from staff, beds are great, shower pressure very good. Hotel was recently taken over and will become a valuable asset to the area. I will definitely be back.

Nice view and easy to get set up regarding codes for the door.
Both lamps did not work.
