We had our family vacation at the cottage. It‘s perfect for families and is very well equipped. Unfortunately, we had some issues concerning cleanlines of the house (a urine/damp smell which did not go away though we aired the concerned rooms aggressively, a dirty rag in the kitchen sink and not well cleaned drains) and a broken baby bed. We adressed those problems to the housekeeping company (in the requested time and manner) and to the agency/owner but never got an answer until today. We didn‘t care much about the drains as it was not that bad and we could ignore the rag, but especially the smell was a real bummer and prevented us from feeling 100% comfortable at this otherwise great house (even our infant daughter wondered about the funny smell).
Apart from that we had a great vacation with the town center within a short walk, a playground and a quiet neighborhood. It was the perfect start for many excursions in the lake district. We would definitely recommend staying at this location (provided the issues mentioned above are being solved).
