We felt the property was an excellent size for the price of the property and is very spacious. The decor is excellent and has been fantastically renovated to a high standard.
The kitchen is very well equipped and contains everything you would need to cook for up to 6 people.
The location is fantastic and within a short working distance to centralYork, with bus stops nearby as well as a few minutes walk from York train station.
The rooftop was the highlight for us and we spent our evenings up there taking in the surroundings and amazing views.
Due to the age of the building, the stairs are very noisy and usually wakes other people up once someone goes up or down the stairs, if guests have different sleeping patterns, this may be an issue.
There is poor insulation throughout the property and as such sound travels and conversations can be heard throughout the entire property.
Since you cannot open the windows to the property, there is no ventilation upstairs and that means the rooms can get stuffy, we propped the doors open through the day for some air circulation.

Everything! It was fantastic!
The only thing we wished for was better access to the roof.
The roof access was difficult for some and awkward if we wanted to take drinks etc. up there

Beautiful old tower with period furniture but modern kitchen. Bedrooms very comfortable and bath wonderful. Good water pressure in showers. We loved the upper deck which had a great view of the city centre and the river but yet peaceful. Met at property and given a wee tour which was very informative. Enjoyed watching the rowers in the morning. Very handy for anyone Travelling by train as only a 10min walk to property. Parking a bonus if you need it. Surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Nola a must.
Tv in lounge wasn't as receptive and easy to use as the others in the property but this was a very minor issue.

The property was a beautiful. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. It was very central to everything in York. (Particularly liked the nice touch of leaving dressing gowns and slippers!)
I don’t think there was anything we disliked. It was just perfect for us.
