This single-storey cottage rests in Akeld, near Wooler, Northumberland and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. This property only accepts a minimum of a 3 night stay
Cherryburn Cottage is an attractive stone, single-storey cottage tucked away in the village of Akeld near Wooler, Northumberland. Made up of two bedrooms including a double and a twin, this cottage can sleep up to four guests. The bedrooms are serviced by a bathroom, and the cottage is then complete with a kitchen and a living/dining room. Bed linen and towels included in rent. Outside there is ample off-road parking for guests. Cherryburn Cottage is a splendid choice for a small family getaway to the Northumberland countryside. Note: This property does not accept Sunday check ins. Note: Bookings at this property must be a minimum of 2 nights. The Cheviot Goat pub is located on site and is available to guests subject to seasonal opening hours. PLEASE NOTE: The on-site swimming pool and sauna facilities will be open for guest use from 1 April 2026.
Use of the swimming pool and sauna is available for an additional charge and must be arranged directly with the owners prior to arrival.
From 1 April 2026 pool access is charged at £42 per adult per week with shorter stays charged on a pro-rata basis.
Children under the age of 14 are not charged for pool use
The swimming pool is unsupervised and used at guests’ own risk
Children under 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times and lone swimming is not permitted for anyone under 18

The whole property was fine with one persinal exception! The bed was too hard for me though my wife had no problems. One curiosity was that there were two hand brushes but no dustpan! Otherwise the location was handy for the shops in Wooler which provided all the things we needed. We can recommend the Milan Restaurant in Wooler.
