A perfect base for exploring Tara national park, easily reached from Belgrade thanks to the new highway. The property is authentically decorated and accommodated our family perfectly. We barbecued every night and ate outside in the large garden. The host was attentive to our every need and made us feel completely at home. Will definitely stay again!

Despots house is a wonderful place to stay in hot Serbian summer days, when you are looking for a peaceful escape from city rush in the mountains - even without air conditioning it is cool in the house, and the atmosphere is extremely comfortable. Having spent 4 days in this wonderful place with loveliest hosts I am already longing to go back. What a wonderful example of true Serbian warm-hearted hospitality! The host, Rada, made us coffee, baked us a delicious traditional pie with cheese, and even played with my child (who absolutely adored her and picked flowers for her in the yard). The house is in a wonderful location between Mokra Gora and Tara national park, a perfect place if you would like to visit both, and just some minutes driving from Shargan-Vitasi, a station of the famous Sharganska osmica. The cleanliness is outstanding! The apartment we stayed in smelled amazing, and was full of lovely little details like pretty flower embroidery on towels. My highest recommendations! Very comfortable! One of the best vacations I have had. It is a 20 out of 10 :)
