Het vakantiehuis is prima, de omgeving is prachtig. Een minpunt is dat er in directe omgeving geen goede zwemplek is. Aangegeven openluchtbaden zijn klein en daarom overvol en de meeste zijn alleen in juli en augustus geopend, terwijl het nu in juni al erg heet is. Het dichtstbijzijnde meer waarin gezwommen kan worden is een uur rijden. Wel een prima plek.

Huis was niet al te moeilijk te vinden, maar alles bleek op slot en de verhuurder woonde niet naast de deur. Nadat we de verhuurder telefonisch hadden laten weten dat we gearriveerd waren (alleen in Frans te communiceren) kwam de eigenaar na ca. 3 kwartier om het huis te openen. Nogmaals bleek het erg lastig dat de verhuurder geen woord Engels sprak en onze dochter gebrekkig Frans. Met veel gebaren is alles toch een beetje duidelijk gemaakt en kon onze vakantie starten. Het huis was naar onze mening zeer karig ingericht. Weinig stoelen, weinig servies en bestek. Maar goed later bleek ook wel inde omgeving dat dit niet de meest rijke gebieden zijn. Het huis stond in een heel klein dorpje en ook in de omgeving zijn het voornamelijk hele kleine dorpjes waardoor je voor enig vertier echt wel erop uit moet. Ook viel het ons op dat er heel weinig jeugd in de regio is en de bevolking bestaat voornamelijk uit oudere echtparen. Wij hebben wel prachtige tochten kunnen maken, kunnen kanoën in De Lot, donderdags de weekmarkt in Meers bezocht en de prachtige oude stad Concues bezocht.

Bij aankomst moesten we even een half uurtje wachten omdat de eigenaar verder weg woonde. Na aankomst werd er in alle rust uitgelegd hoe alles werkte en kregen we 2 leuke welkom attenties. De ligging van het huis viel wat tegen omdat ook uit de Belvilla foto’s niet bleek dat er pal langs het huis een weg liep. Het huis zelf was ok en typisch Frans ingedeeld. Wat opviel was dat er ‘s avonds tussen plafond en de vloer wat ongedierte heen en weer liep. Niets gezien overigens. Eigenaren gaan dit oplossen! Prachtige omgeving waar we erg van genoten hebben. In onze ogen was dit huis echter geen 8.4 waard.
