Welcome to De Zagerij, a charming and spacious holiday home in Rendeux, Belgium, once a historic sawmill powered by a waterwheel. Nestled beside a small stream, this unique property consists of two separate houses, each with its own living room, offering comfort and privacy for families or groups traveling together. Ideal for nature lovers, scenic walks begin right at your doorstep. Enjoy day trips to picturesque towns like Durbuy, La Roche-en-Ardenne, Hotton, Dinant, and Rochefort. Whether you're exploring the Ardennes or relaxing indoors, De Zagerij is your perfect base. Inside, the home is warm and inviting with heating and a cozy fireplace. Enjoy amenities such as board games, table football, and a bar in the left house. Smoking is not allowed indoors, but ashtrays are provided at outdoor exits. Waste is sorted into two bins, black for general waste and green for compost, and collected every Tuesday. Parking is available on-site. Please respect the peaceful setting: refrain from using the radio after 20:00. For safety reasons, electric vehicles must not be charged via the domestic power network; doing so may incur extra costs.

For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters
Reservations for groups of persons under 18 years of age are not permitted

Prima verblijf als je niet per se luxe wilt. Leuk biljartspel en barretje voor de jeugd en fijne open haard. Mag iets schoner.

Het vakantiehuis was goed ingedeeld en groot genoeg om met 14 personen daar te vertoeven. Ze is jammer genoeg veroudert en bied minder comfort dan we hadden verwacht voor die prijs. In de keuken werkten er maar 3 van de 6 kookpitten, er waren muffe oude keukenkasten. Wel een nieuwe vaatwas. Leefruimte was donker, houten vloer was zwart van het vuil, zetels hadden vlekken en gaatjes in van sigaretten ofzo. Weinig lichtpunten. Open haard maakt het dan wel gezellig. Leuk dat er een tapbiljard staat en voetbaltafel, alleen is daar de bodem los van de tafel, waardoor er geen deftig spel kan gespeeld worden. Het was daar ook niet warm te krijgen in de speelruimte, chauffages werden daar niet warm ook al stonden ze op 3. In de slaapkamers komt behangpapier los, zijn er plinten weg. Stapelbedden zijn onveilig voor jongere kinderen, bedden kraakten en piepten, Gelukkig wel goede matrassen. De toiletten beneden zit je met je neus tegen de deur. De douchekamer is handig, daar zijn er 4 douches naast elkaar. Het water had de juiste temperatuur Het zou dus ideaal zijn mocht het huis eens een deftige opknapbeurt krijgen.

Aankomst verliep soepel, het huis was netjes en lekker ruim met voldoende zithoeken, bedden en douches. De keuken was erg fijn en geschikt voor een grote groep. We hebben dankzij het mooie weer veel op het grote overdekte terras gezeten en iedere avond een vuurtje gestookt in de barbecue. We hebben veel in de directe landelijke omgeving gewandeld. De bakkerij waar je heerlijke vlaaien kunt halen ligt op loopafstand.
