About this house rental
Sitting high on a mesa, this private sun-filled estate encompasses 14 acres in the Arroyo Seco Highlands overlooking the Arroyo Seco River Canyon and the Ventana Wilderness. Once the site of an early California wellness retreat and a stagecoach stop, the estate sets the vibe for a place to get away from it all! The entire property has been lovingly restored including:
A fully stocked country kitchen
Lush ornamental gardens with fruit trees
A 55-foot heated pool
A park-like setting with large open social and play areas and shady pergolas
2 charcoal BBQs & a propane grill
Enjoy a glass of Mesa Del Sol wine while you take in magnificent views in every direction of the winding Arroyo Seco River and surrounding mountain wilderness. Guests are welcome to collect fresh eggs daily from our chickens and harvest from the organic garden and numerous fruit trees. Kids can run free on the expansive green lawns, bring their own floats to splash in the pool, swing to the heavens from the 300-year-old oak tree swing or toddler swingset, and watch the wildlife at every turn. The whole family can try their skills in a competitive game of basketball, volleyball, croquet, and even (faux) ax throwing.
The front acreage is devoted to the organic vineyard producing award-winning wines including Syrah, Zinfandel, Sangiovese, and Grenache. A pond adds nutrients to the vineyard for our sustainable organic farming practices with fascinating wildlife viewing from the dock. Loved it! Do not pack any type of kitchen appliance or spice, they had everything truly. We loved the fresh produce on site and made use of every inch of the property. Perfect for our family reunion! (14 adults, three kids)

Our group had the most amazing time at this incredibly beautiful property! We had ample room, the kitchen and all the accommodations were so well stocked and supplied it felt like we were home. And with our crew who love to cook, that's impressive!
Spectacular views, gorgeous property, delicious wine. Stars and sky that go on forever. Stargazing was a highlight. The kids loved the chickens and the garden is gorgeous and impressive.
The heat wave during the time we were there reached a soaring 112 degrees one day. We stayed cool in the pool and shade, and the house was kept at a very comfortable temperature by opening the windows at night and closing them and drawing the shades by mid-late morning.
Gary was easy to communicate with and always quick to respond.
Mesa Del Sol is a real gem, full of magic. We can't wait to return to make more memories.

Property is beautiful with a great view out over the canyon. We made good use of the pool, hot tub, and all of the outdoor hangout areas. Wines were excellent too. Highly recommended.
