The Tuscan house has a delightful garden where a perfectly manicured lawn area is fringed by native bushes, flowers and olive trees ensuring your privacy.
A sun graced terrace lays in front of the house. Here a pergola offers shaded dining for four people and an outside grilling area. An intimate plunge pool is surrounded by an elegant seating area. Laze on a sun lounger on the lawn by the pool, aperitivo in hand, and you'll soon get the taste of the Tuscan life.
Casetta di Petriolo's air-conditioned master bedroom and twin room share a bathroom with the living space on the same floor. The immaculate interiors combine bright and fashionable furniture with Tuscan terracotta floor and cieling tiles laid on chestnut beams. A fire place will add to the cosy atmosphere in the shoulder seasons.
Less than 3km is the ancient town of Cerreto Guidi which dates back more than 1200 years. The hilltop town's defining feature is the UNESCO Medici Villa on the peak of the town used as a hunting lodge. Now the lanes that circle the town are decorated for annual Palio and furnished for al fresco seekers. It is possible for guests to walk to Cerreto Guidi over the fields.

We had great communication from the owner with google maps reference. On arrival we were met by the owner Yuri and Clarissa who showed us round and explained how everything worked. The houses is in a rural location, very quiet. Beautiful secure landscaped gardens . Kitchen is well equipped, the whole house looks like it has recently been kitted with brand new furniture and fittings. Living room well set up, TV only gets Italian TV, a smart tv would have been better for streaming other TV. Bluetooth speaker in living room, great as we streamed radio. Bedroom super king size bed, a bit hard for us both, plenty of storage. A full-size mirror would be a good addition to the house. Air conditioning unit is in main bedroom, we purchased an extra stand fan as temperature 36c plus, too hot for us northerners. Outside jacuzzi pool great, beautiful garden, plenty of chairs loungers and shaded areas. Local restaurant just 400yards to left, hotel and restaurant very nice high end dining. We had a hire car which we used to travel around with, also used Empoli train station for visits into Florence which was excellent and easy to use. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our holiday home, quiet, peaceful and well set up. Great communication from Yuri throughout our stay. Thankyou
