My wife and I have stayed at Hotel de la Paix several times, and the place never disappoints. This past week (two-night stay) was exceptionally good. Robbe and Josephine, the owners, are great hosts, the room was beautiful and clean, the dinner in the Café was out of this world, and breakfast hit the spot (the eggs!). Can't beat the location, either, with free parking easily available just off the Grote Markt.

Central location, close to various Attractions and places of interest
Would have been helpful to have the location of the Free public car park before hand. Entrance to the car park is concealed between 2 buildings Room 5 is at the top of a flight of stairs. Won’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues However great view over The Grand Place and a sun terrace

The room is modern and well-equipped. Nice terrace.
The hotel is understaffed so the only person working there was extremely busy. We were refused to sit to have a snack/dinner in the restaurant of the hotel at 8:20 pm even if there were plenty of seats available. Apparently the chef was too busy and the owner refused us. Even though we said we could wait a little bit and the other restaurants in town were closed. Unbelievable to see a business refusing customers.
